Several icons have been used to represent the refuge over time. Which do you prefer?
The little bird was a doodle that Mr Rogers himself drew in a field notebook. It was adapted for use on the entrance sign when the Princeton Wildlife Refuge became the Charles H. Rogers Refuge after his death in 1977.
The Wood duck was drawn to illustrate a field card published by Princeton Township for users of the wildlife refuge. The artist’s name has been lost over time. If you are the artist or know her, and can put us in touch, we will be glad to acknowledge her.
